The new Skoda Fabia will increase fuel efficiency by 17%

Since the new Skoda Fabia made its debut in Paris in October 2014, Skoda released detailed information on fuel consumption and emission, which will set a new benchmark. According to Skoda, the new Fabia is more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, with a fuel efficiency of 17%, and will be the most environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient Fabia in history. Skoda Fabia will also receive a new engine lineup of four gasoline and three diesel engines, meeting eu6 emission standards.

All engines will use the start stop system and kinetic energy recovery as the standard, while the transmission will be manual or DSG dual clutch gearbox. The gasoline engine lineup will include a new three cylinder series based on MQB technology. Although the 1.0L MPI three cylinder has indirect injection, the 1.2L four cylinder will be turbocharged and layered injection (TSI). The power output starts at 60 HP and can be up to 110 HP.

The new Fabia diesel engine will have three performance levels, with a new turbocharged direct injection 1.4-liter three cylinder common rail design. The engine block is made of aluminum alloy and the power output remains between 74 HP and 103 HP.

The most fuel-efficient version of Fabia, Greenland, with 74 HP 1.4 TDI engine, will be launched at the end of 2015. With the help of the starting system, kinetic energy recovery and tires are optimized for the improvement of vehicle aerodynamics. For the improvement of vehicle aerodynamics, 3.1 liters will be consumed every 100 kilometers, and the carbon dioxide emission will be only 82 g / km.

When weighed at 980 kg with a 1.0 MPI three cylinder baseline model, the new Skoda Fabia s will also weigh up to 65 kg and smaller ones. Skoda recently released the first design sketch of the new Fabia, indicating that it is the first production car to include elements from the Skoda vision concept car. Skoda also revealed that the new Fabia will be nine centimeters wide and three centimeters shorter. The third generation Fabia will also get a new interior with natural customization options.
