Audi celebrates 25 years of TDI Technology

Audi is celebrating the 25th anniversary of TDI technology, the Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI competition. In these 25 years, TDI technology has seen its power and torque increase by more than 100% relative to displacement, while pollutant emissions have decreased by 98% over the same period. Today, Audi produced about 7.5 million vehicles in the TDI engine in 2013, which is limited to nearly 600000 vehicles in 2013. Turbocharging, fuel injection and emission control are the three pillars of TDI engine development. Engineers are working continuously to further reduce fuel consumption, increase power and torque, and improve running smoothness.

To occupy this achievement, Audi is also the new A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI competition. The model uses 2967cc TDI biturbo clean diesel engine to erase the maximum power of 326bpp and peak torque of 650nm. The camshaft and the charging modification of the engine have a power output of 7bhp. When the acceleration reaches the maximum value, the boost function provides another 20bhp in a short time. A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI competes from static contact to 100kmph in 5.1 seconds. In addition, the S-line packaging in A7 competition includes reducing the mechanism by 20mm to further improve aerodynamics. Audi can provide matrix LED headlights, more powerful MMI navigation plus, and further developed driver assistance systems, such as night vision assistance.
