With the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire floating in a floating case, the automaker is expected to unveil an updated Swift Dzire soon. With production-ready models found without any camouflage, it is speculated that India's largest passenger car maker will bring the refreshed compact sedan by the end of the year or early 2015.
Maruti Suzuki has already launched the Swift Compelift at Rs 4.42 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while another hatch is planned to be launched with AMT Gearbox in the next few weeks holding the ALTO K10.So one might wonder why the company bombed with a series of launches?First, it's CIAZ, then SWIFT's facelift and the upcoming ALTO K10.Among the manufacturers, special and limited edition wagons "Krest", Ritz, Celerio and Earthiga were also launched.Well, the answer is simple - the market is tough, competition is tough, and the occasion is a festival.
Unlike the swift facelift, the Dzire has several major exterior changes like the Grille, new bumpers, thick chrome panels over the fog lights, similar to what we've seen in the new Punto Evo.While inside the cabin, the car features a push-to-park button, multifunction steering wheel, reverse parking assistant, power ORVM, and an updated music system with Bluetooth connectivity.
Engine specs remain the same, as seen in the Swift Compelift, but fuel efficiency has been boosted by 10 percent in diesel and 9.67 percent in petrol, as expected in the Dzire ambience.
