2015 Ford Figo aka success in Brazil; India debut next year!

Last month Ford debuted its global small car - "Ka" in Brazil, with the "Blue Oval" company selling more than 7,000 units in its maiden season, making it a Brazilian success.The car has been developed by Ford Brazil for global sale, just like the Ecosport developed there.After launching in Brazil, the Ecosport made its way to India, a runaway success for Ford India.Also, the hatch is coming to India next year and it will be our next Philippine island.A compact sedan based on it will also go along with it; similar to the concept shown at the Auto Expo this year.

The 2015 FIGO comes with Ford's Dynamics 2.0 design philosophies seen in the updated Fiesta.Inside, the instrument dash also borrows design cues and components from the Fiesta.Speaking of which, the center console appears to be a helicopter.

Auto features, Ford's Sync Audio system with Applink connectivity and emergency assist.The system connects your smartphone to the car, allowing you to access a handful of mobile apps via voice control.Emergency Assistance Call emergency services in the event of a casualty.

Talking about the engine, both the hatch and the compact sedan will be powered by a newly developed 1.0L TIVCT (Dual Independent Inverter Camshaft Timing) naturally aspirated 3-cylinder motor.The engine puts out a healthy 85bhp at 6500rpm and 105Nm of peak torque to 4500rpm.

The KA-DUO also comes with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol that powers our Ecosport.Talking about the India-centric power flat plastic, diesel isn't available in Brazil, but expect the Fiesta 1.5L unit along with the new 1.0L TI-VCT petrol on these next page - FIGO-DUO.
