Skoda Rapid: Features and Highlights

With refreshments from an extensive array of models, Skoda has come up with a quick, quick version.The Czech manufacturer has launched the new Express from an attractive price proposition of Rs 7.22 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh in a top class elegant black package.Four variants are available, including two petrol versions and two diesels.Skoda India will also offer the 'Black Pack' treatment on all four variants to further capture customer interest in the fast.

Appearance: Features and Dimensions

Aside from minor tweaks, the basic design remains the same here.The elegant body exudes stability and structural strength.New is what you'll find in a "black package" and costs around Rs 13,500.The grille on these versions has been finished in gloss black and now looks very sporty and includes a black finish on the projector headlamps and front fog lamps.The roof also gets a black finish along with the mirrors and alloy wheels.Top Elegance trims have 15-inch 'bold' alloy wheels, as the sibling's other trunks do with steel wheels with full wheel covers.

Interior Design: Features

The interior of the new speed comes with fabric upholstery in all variants.The driver's seat is height-adjustable, except on the base model, but the steering is height-adjustable and comes as standard.Skoda has been equipped with 2 DIN audio players with USB/AUX IN/SD card compatibility for fast, diverter mounted controls for the music system.However, Bluetooth and cruise control are born out of ambition plus elegant trim.The Climatronic automatic air conditioner is only available in the top-class elegant version, as well as a larger black and white MFD (Multi-Function Display).

Safety

The safe front Skoda India comes with new Quick-Use ABS and Ambition Plus' rear parking sensors and Elegant trim.Driver airbags are available in addition to the base model, and front passenger airbags are only available on the Ambition Plus and Elegance trim levels.Customers who choose diesel inverter with DSG transmission get a stable control program.

Engine: Power and Torque

The new Quick is now powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine instead of the previous 1.6-litre diesel.However, a reduction in displacement does not mean that power levels have dropped.The 1.5-litre diesel still produces 103bp of maximum power at 4,400°C and 250Nm of peak torque between 1,500-2,500rpm.Another latest addition is the 7-speed DSG transmission on the diesel variant, making it one of the most affordable diesel automatic sedans sold in the Indian market.Skoda India claims the diesel variant with the 7-speed DSG transmission will return 21.66kmpl and the manual variant will return 21.14kmpl.The diesel is also available with a 5-speed manual transmission.Petrol variants return 15kmpl with the 5-speed manual and 14.3kmpl with the 6-speed Tiptronic, as previously mentioned.
