Mercedes-Benz unveils V12-equipped G65 AMG in 2016

German automaker Mercedes-Benz will soon add an Ultra-Exclusive V-12 to its successful G-Class lineup, reports an online publication.The new G65 AMG will join Merc's fleet of high-performance SUVs, which already includes the Badass ML63 AMG, GL63 AMG and G63 AMG. However, all of these sales SUVs from the Triangle brand come with a common 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine .

Powered by Merc-Amg's twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 mill, it pumps out 612 horses and a mighty 1,000 millimeters of torque.Elsewhere in a few years, the same brutal V-12 has been sold, currently filling in the SL65 AMG, the S65 AMG convertible and most recently the S65 AMG Coupe.The G65 AMG's power is diverted to all four wheels, courtesy of a seven-speed automatic transmission.With these PS in the Kitty, the new SUV goes from a break to 100km in just 5.3 seconds, which isn't bad considering a 2,700kg vehicle over 2,700kg.Although, the top speed of the vehicle is electronically limited to 230 km.

The report also notes that the G65 AMG will cost upwards of $2,50 when it arrives in U.S. showrooms in 2016.In just a few days, the latter Land Rover has also revealed its high-performance range, the Robos Sport SVR, and in the near future manufacturers such as Bentley, Lamborghini, BMW, Porsche and Maserati are also working to enhance the performance of their performance portfolios SUV.The G65 AMG will launch globally, with a U.S. debut in 2016.
