Chevrolet unveils facelift for Sailing and 84-day sailing U-VA

Chevrolet India is ready for The Spruce's Sailing - Duo series, sail and sail U-VA facelift to launch on September 24; the company is teasing pictures online.With the holiday season starting on Sept. 24, GM has updated these cars to boost its sales, although prices may remain the same despite adding a small amount.The Sail Setan will compete with compact sedans like the Xcent, Dzire, Amaze and Amaze and Zest, as well as other entry-level sedans like the Ford Classic and Toyota ETIOS.While the Sail U-VA competes with Ford Figo, Hyundai Grand I10, Maruti Suzuki Swift and more.

Speaking of changes, from the teaser images it looks like the main focus is on the interior of the car.The car both gets a new dual-DIN audio system that slaps like blue backlighting and Bluetooth connectivity.The audio system has a black treatment, so expect the Sailing to get a new black and beige dash compared to the current drab lighter shade.In addition to this, the exterior of the car will receive subtle changes.

Mechanically, both ensembles may retain the current engine settings.The Sail and Sail U-VA is powered by 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel Smart Technology.The 1.2-litre petrol belt puts out 84.8bhp @ 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 5000rpm.The 1.3-litre Fiat-derived multi-jet diesel pumps 76.9bhp at 4000rpm and 205Nm of peak torque at 1750rpm.Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission, delivering 18.1km/l for petrol and 22.1km/l for diesel.
