On June 1, Lexus officially announced its mid-to-large luxury SUV, the all-new generation RX, for its global debut.The new generation of RX released this time has been changed to the fifth generation.The new car is also based on the TNGA architecture and will adopt a new design as a whole.

In terms of exterior design, Lexus integrates the iconic "spindle" design elements into the body to create a unique design style that is not only functional, but also full of power as a whole.In terms of details, the new car adopts a large-sized air intake grille, and the overall shape adopts a trapezoidal design, which looks imposing.The guide grooves on both sides can not only effectively provide heat dissipation for the brakes, but also increase the overall heaviness of the front of the car.

On the side of the body, the length, width and height of the new car are 4890/1920/1695mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2850mm, which is 60mm higher than that of the previous model.The slightly sunken roof and rising waistline of the new car meet between the C-pillar and the D-pillar, forming the effect of a suspended roof, which looks sporty as a whole.At the same time, the new car will provide two options in terms of tire size, 19/21 inches for users to choose.

Coming to the rear of the car, the new car also adopts the Lexus family design, which echoes the design of the front of the car as a whole.The slightly curved taillight design adds a sense of visual elegance, and a "wing-style" treatment is adopted at the ends of the taillights.

In terms of interior design, the new car adopts the Tazuna bridle concept cockpit as a whole, and the driver-centered design realizes a more in-depth and intuitive human-vehicle interaction experience.The overall design concept is environmentally friendly. The front central control screen of the new car is available in 9.8-inch and 14-inch options according to low/high models, and provides functions such as mobile phone interconnection and OTA.

In terms of power, the new car will provide three models: RX 350h/RX 450h+/RX 500h.Among them, the RX 350h is equipped with a hybrid system based on a 2.5L engine; while the power of the RX 450h+ comes from a plug-in hybrid system based on a 2.5L engine, and is matched with the E-Four four-wheel drive system, which is realized by the rear axle motor.The top-level RX 500h F SPORT Performance is equipped with a hybrid system based on a 2.4T engine, matching the DIRECT4 electronic dynamic four-wheel drive system, and the rear axle is equipped with a high-power eAxle electric drive system.
