Great Wall Motors sold 80,062 units in May, up 48.9% month-on-month

Automobile Information Network, June 8.Today, Great Wall Motor released the production and sales data for May 2022.In May this year, Great Wall Motors sold a total of 80,062 new vehicles, a month-on-month increase of 48.9% and a year-on-year decrease of 7.94%; of which 12,317 were sold overseas, a month-on-month increase of 59.3%.

Entering the era of smart cars, Great Wall Motor's sales of high-value and smart products have been increasing. In May, sales of models above 150,000 yuan accounted for 14.9% of sales. The sales of models based on the three major technology brands of Lemon, Tank and Smart Coffee The proportion has reached 64.1%, and the proportion of intelligent models has reached 82.9%.

The Haval brand sold 41,748 units in May, a month-on-month increase of 43.3% and a year-on-year decrease of 22.47%. Among them, the monthly sales volume of the star model Haval H6 reached 20,088 units.On June 6, as another blockbuster masterpiece of Haval, the Big Dog Hunting Edition was officially launched.

Wei brand sold 2,520 units in May, up 9.9% month-on-month and down 16.31% year-on-year.On May 27, Wei brand new TVC premiered on CCTV CCTV-1 prime spot, proposing a new consumption proposition of "do not judge heroes with logos".

The ORA brand sold 10,768 vehicles in May, a month-on-month increase of 248.7% and a year-on-year increase of 199.36%.On May 20, the pre-sale of ORA's first female-only car, Ballet Cat, opened, bringing a total of 4 versions of the 401km and 500km battery life.

The tank brand sold 8,018 vehicles in May, a month-on-month increase of 32.2% and a year-on-year increase of 31.66%.Since the launch of the medium and large business luxury SUV Tank 500, more than 2,500 units have been sold.

Great Wall pickups sold 17,008 units in May, including 13,190 Great Wall guns, an increase of 29.9% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 16.70%.

Recently, two new policies, namely, going to the countryside and reducing vehicle purchase tax have been introduced. Great Wall Motors actively responded to the industrial policy. Haval, Weipai, and Euler have all launched more preferential measures on the basis of the new policies.

Among them, ORA Cat and ORA Cat GT are included in the catalogue of new energy vehicles going to the countryside; all Haval brand models are subject to half the purchase tax, and the Haval H6 National Trend Edition enjoys full purchase tax exemption; Wei brand Mocha DHT - PHEV, Macchiato DHT-PHEV and other models can enjoy full purchase tax exemption.At present, Great Wall Motors has Wei brand latte DHT, Mocha DHT-PHEV, Macchiato DHT, Macchiato DHT-PHEV, Haval H6S DHT and many other models equipped with Lemon Hybrid DHT.This year, there will be more new models equipped with Lemon Hybrid DHT technology to meet consumers.

Coffee intelligence will also usher in an upgrade. The next-generation brand-new electronic and electrical architecture, GEEP 4.0, will be officially launched this year. It will be the first to be installed on the new electric and hybrid models of Great Wall Motors, and will be gradually extended to all its models.
