Zhang Xiyong said that the goal of BAIC Group's "dual carbon" action is to make every effort to achieve carbon peaking in 2025, and to achieve full decarbonization of products and carbon neutrality in operations in 2050.By the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the average carbon emissions of products will drop by 33% on the basis of 2020.During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, carbon emissions per unit ofoutput valuewill drop by 21%, and carbon emissions from bicycles will drop by 24%, reaching the domestic advanced level. In 2030, the carbon emission intensity index will reach the international advanced level.

With the "BLUE Blue Plan" as the engine, BAIC Group will focus on four major actions to further promote the implementation of the "dual carbon" goal.

In terms of product carbon reduction, BAIC's self-owned passenger vehicles have added five pure electric products including the ARCFOX and BEIJING brands, and commercial vehicles have completed the transition from oil-to-electricity platforms to new platforms for commercial vehicles.Speed ​​up the electrificationprocess of the power system, accelerate the launch of hybrid products, and promote the application of high-efficiency engines.A new platform for hydrogen-fueled heavy-duty commercial vehicles has been developed.
