Chuhang Technology has won two major radar projects of Leapmotor, and it is expected to achieve mass production in the near future

Recently, Chuhang Technology announced that it has signed a project cooperation agreement with Leapmotor, which will provide 77GHz forward radar and 77GHz blind spot detection angle radar for a certain mass-produced car automatic driving system part of Leapmotor. It has recently achieved mass production.

It is reported that the Chuhang Technology 77GHz forward radar and blind spot detection angle radar equipped on this mass-produced sedan of Leap Motor are one of the few automotive-grade millimeter-wave radar products that have achieved mass production in China. It has ASPICE CL2 International certification, ISO 26262 ASIL-B functional safety certification and EU CE certification and many other domestic and foreign vehicle-level product technical certifications and software supporting.

As an important perception sensor in Leapmotor's automatic driving system, these two radar products will help Leapmotor's automatic driving system to realize auxiliary functions such as ACC, AEB, BSD, etc., so that the vehicle can maintain a safe distance and prevent Scenario applications such as forward collision and emergency braking.In addition, Chuhang Technology will also provide continuous customized services for Leipao cars to help them improve the ADAS assisted driving function to realize the application in more functional scenarios.

Official information shows that in 2021,Chuhang Technologyhas been committed to the commercialization of millimeter-wave radar sensing components in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and has achieved good market performance in China. It has now launched 77GHz in the Chinese market. Four types of vehicle-grade products, including corner radar, commercial vehicle blind spot detection system, 77GHz forward radar, and 60GHz vital signs detection radar.

It is also understood that the current radar production base of Chuhang Technology in Anqing has three certification systems of IATF16949, ISO45001 and ISO14001. After the production line is optimized, the full-loadannual production capacitycan reach 1.8 million pieces. It is the first to implement a "world-class factory". Domestic millimeter-wave radar companies can ensure the consistency and stability of product quality after mass production.

As one of the new power car companies, Leapmotor currently has three mass-produced models: Leapmotor S01, Leapmotor T03 and Leapmotor C11.In May this year, Leapmotor delivered a total of 10,069 new cars, achieving a year-on-year growth of over 200% for 14 consecutive months.Also in May, Leapmotor C01, the first medium-to-large pure electric sedan under Leapmotor Motors, was officially unveiled and pre-sale started simultaneously.While this modelfurther enriches the product lineup ofLeapcar, it is alsoexpected to drive a further increase in its deliveries.According to Cao Li, vice president of Leapmotor Technology, at the end of this month, the order volume of Leapmotor C01 has exceeded 45,000 units.
