Is the updated Kia Forte any different from the Cerato?

The 2022KiaForte is available in four trim levels - FE, LXS, GT-Line and GT - with optional Technology (LXS, GT-Line, GT) and Sport Premium (GT-Line) packages.

In terms of exterior styling, the press release is accompanied by an image showing only the front end of the 2022KiaForte GT.The redesigned design includes new longer LED headlights, now combined with a thinner tiger-nose grille, and a more prominent bumper with stylish air intakes and additional LEDs.

Kiahasn't revealed the rear end of the 2022Fortein North America , but it's expected to be very similar to the 2022 K3 pictured here.

The configuration file looks identical to its predecessor.But the rear will have a slightly redesigned bumper, new LED taillight graphics for the GT and GT-Line, updated Kia badging, and a spoiler lip on the boot lid according to Korean specs.K3.Kia also announced new 16- and 17-inch alloy wheel designs for LX and GT-Line trim levels.

The interior of the Korean Kia K3 will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment touchscreen, which is standard on GT-Line and GT models.The Fortewill also get a new 10.25-inch center touchscreen with navigation (GT and GT-Line) or an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity (FE, LXS).

Other changes include automatic hold electronic parking brake, optional rear USB charger, available SynTex synthetic leather upholstery and a smart key for remote start.Safety equipment now includes six standard ADAS and up to 15 available systems, including highway driver assistance, navigation-based smart cruise control and safe exit warning.

Like its predecessor, the 2022 KiaForteis available with two engines.FE, LXS and GT-Line models are powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder MPI engine producing 147 horsepower.and 178 Nm.Power is sent to the front axle via an Intelligent Continuously Variable Transmission (IVT).

The more powerful GT variant is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder GDI engine producing 201 horsepower.and 264 Nm.In this case, buyers can choose between a standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual.The GT also gets a sports suspension with a multi-link rear axle, twin exhausts and more powerful brakes.

The 2022 Kia Forte will be built in Monterrey, Mexico.Kia has yet to announce pricing, which is expected to be close to the outgoing model.
