The new Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate costs £123,900

Land Roverhas unveiled a new "Ultimate Edition" of its fastest and most powerful model for sale: the Range Rover Sport SVR.

The new car comes with a slew of personalisation options developed by the company's Special Vehicle Operations division to distance it from standard cars.

The Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate features a number of new styling details, including new lettering on the hood and boot, new carbon fiber hood vents, 22-inch alloy wheels and brake calipers.

Buyers can choose from a range of exclusive color combinations developed by the SV Bespoke team, including three new paint colors mixed with solid glass flakes.All models get a black contrasting roof, mirror caps, front grille and other details.

A range of further personalisation options will also be available.The new special edition retains the Range Rover Sport SVR's 542bhp, 516lb ft 5.0-litre supercharged V8, so it can do the 0-62mph sprint in just 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 176mph.

Prices start at £123,900, while the standard SVR starts at £95,725.Land Roverhas yet to announce a production cap for the special edition, which can now be configured on the brand's website.

This is expected to be one of the last additions to the current Range Rover range before a new generation of cars arrives in the coming months.

Just last week, the new one gave us our first look at the successor to today's top Range Rover Sport SVR.Big brakes, quad-exit exhausts and a prominent rear spoiler continue to differentiate it from the standard car, but a subtle styling overhaul will clearly mark the new car.

Today's JLR-developed 5.0-litre V8 is expected to drop out to make way for a BMW-derived 4.4-litre twin-turbo engine, paving the way for a range-toppingRange Rovertomatch outputs of 616bhp and 552lb ft.The X5 M Competition, uses this engine.
