2022 Toyota Tundra revealed with new interior

Thanks to some ridiculously cropped teaser images, we already know that the 2022ToyotaTundra will feature a windshield, mirrors, sun visors, steering wheel, and a dashboard with a center-mounted infotainment screen.We know shocking.It will also get a panoramic sunroof, at least on some trim levels.While none of these revelations are real surprises, a new set of photos gives us more details about the next-gen Tundra's interior.

Based on the relatively small size of the infotainment screen and an instrument cluster with actual gauges (as opposed to a purely digital screen), we'd surmise that the particular Tundra starring in this impromptu photo shoot isn't a top-of-the-line model.We're also seeing a surprising amount of shiny black and matte silver plastics, a material trend that was popular a decade ago.Fortunately, there's some attractive styling and a more ergonomically sound layout than the current truck, which has a lot of buttons and dials far from the driver.The only dial we saw was the volume (great for turning up the grunge of Lithium radio on the satellite radio).

Below the touchscreen is another digital screen that looks like it uses some old-fashioned display technology.On the positive side, it's pretty clear.The USB plug is on the right, and some chunky levers separate the screen from the row of buttons.Down the center stack are more levers or buttons, and you can also see a console-mounted shifter for the 10-speed automatic we've come to expect.There's a solid chance the rumored turbo V6 will prove correct, too.

Moving past the interior, this Tundra Mule is clad in heavy camouflage, from the head to the trailer.Extra attention was spent near the rear axle, possibly hiding the coil springs that we think support the solid rear axle.In the past, these shots haven't revealed anything on the outside that we haven't seen yet.There's a bright white Ram up front, but we're not sure ifToyotaused that truck for benchmarking or if it was just a happy coincidence.
