Toyota's latest flagship six-cylinder SUV

Late last week, Instagram user Kurdistan_Automotive_Blog posted spy shots of the rolling chassis and body-in-white of the all-new 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 series, and now Russian site Kolesa has used them to create the best possible image of our new LC300 in production.Haven't seen it yet.

While it's hard to pinpoint the configuration of the powertrain, these renders show a new design that isn't quite a departure from the outgoing 200-series, as some computer-generated images suggest.

Instead, the new renders show a familiar upright grille, flanked by a pair of narrow headlights, which is flanked by a chrome bar and T-shape extending from the center of the grille, according to the intelligence in the spy shots. LED lighting elements intersect.

Likewise, the body-in-white greenhouse reveals that the 300 series will feature a lower window line that kicks up at the rear to create a different C-pillar shape, although the panel doors and body sides remain.

As we've reported extensively, the 2022ToyotaLand Cruiser will ditch the LC200's existing 4.5-liter V8 diesel in favor of three six-cylinder powertrains under the umbrella of the big engine.
