The law defines the rights and obligations of consignors and consignees, and also increases the liability of road carriers for exceeding the size and weight standards set by the law.

The amount of fines for exceeding the dimensional weight standard for shipment depends on the degree of overloading:

"Introducing automatic logging of violations of size and weight standards will allow to start work on the WIM complex. First, automated weight control reduces the risk of corruption. Second - significantly increasing efficiency - the computer processes the information instantly and works around the clock. He recorded all Violations. This is much better than our inspector who physically didn't have time to cover the entire stream of trucks and was forced to selectively weigh in and then spend another half hour drafting all the infraction documents," the superintendent said.Ukrtranssezosnosti Yegor Prokopchuk.

The provisions of the law come into effect three months after publication.Ukrtransbezopasnost expects that in the remaining time, the Verkhovna Rada will also pass the relevant Act No. 3743 in the second reading, making corresponding amendments to the administrative law.
