The two parties will focus on key projects such as the mass production and application of long-lasting solid-state power batteries over 1,000 kilometers, 4C fast charging technology for solid-state power batteries, the development of high-safety and long-life solid-state power batteries, and the development of high-efficiency solid-state power battery integration technology, and jointly promote the acceleration of solid-state battery technology. Mass production landed.

According to the plan, the long-range solid-state power battery of more than 1,000 kilometers jointly developed by the two parties will be the first to be applied on new models of SAIC's own brand next year.

According to the data, Qingtao Energy is a leader in the industrialization of solid-state lithium batteries in China. It has taken the lead in realizing the industrialization of solid-state lithium batteries. It has built the first solid-state lithium battery production line in China and built a complete system of independent intellectual property rights.Through continuous improvement of the industrial layout, Qingtao Energy has now built a complete industrial ecological chain of "new energymaterials - solid-state lithium batteries - automation equipment - comprehensive utilization of lithium battery resources - scientific research achievements incubation - industrial investment".

Solid-state batteries are recognized as the next generation of power battery technology. Compared with traditional liquid batteries, solid-state lithium batteries have higher safety, higher energy density, longer battery life and wider application fields.At present, the world, including Panasonic, LG Chem, Toyota, BMW, Volkswagen and other power battery and automobile giants, have deployed solid-state batteries.

SAIC Group participated in Qingtao Energy's E+ and F++ rounds of financing in June 2020 and January 2022.This time, it has established a joint laboratory with Qingtao New Energy, and plans to apply solid-state batteries to its own battery system, which means that its layout in solid-state batteries will usher in a phased implementation.
