Chongqing is about to build a batch of super charging piles to complete the charging of electric vehicles in 15 minutes

On July 10, it was learned from Chongqing Transportation Industry Co., Ltd. that at present, Chongqing is in Longzhouwan Passenger Station, Changshengqiao Passenger Station, Chongqing Long-distance Bus Station, Chongqing North Railway Station South Square Bus Station, Chenjiaping Long-distance Bus Station, More than 500 supercharging pileshave been rebuilt and newly built in 7 geographical node locations including Xiyong Passenger Station and Shuangfengqiao Passenger Station.

It is reported that these charging piles will be completed and put into use within two months.By then, the charging time will be greatly shortened.Among them, a tram with a cruising range of 400 kilometers can be charged in just 15 minutes.As a result, Chongqing will also become one of the few cities in the country to achieve 15-minute fast charging.

At present, the total number of charging piles in Chongqing is approaching 20,000, of which about 80% are located in the main city.Most of these charging facilities use traditional technical standards, and charging takes a long time.Among them, about 11,000 charging piles are "slow charging", and it takes 6 to 8 hours to complete the charging of electric vehicles with a cruising range of 400 kilometers.The remaining about 9,000 charging piles are "fast charging", which takes 1 to 2 hours.

A few days ago, the official website of the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission released the "Notice on Printing and Distributing the City's Work Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Charging and Replacing Infrastructure".The plan proposes that by the end of 2025, more than 240,000 charging piles will be built in the city, including 30,000 public fast charging piles, and 200 battery swap stations will be built.
