According to the agreement, Yiwei Lithium Energy will set up an energy storage headquarters and an energy storage technology research institute in Optics Valley, with a total investment of about 3 billion yuan.Among them, the energy storage headquarters will manage the energy storage business of Yiwei Lithium Energy as a whole, and has jurisdiction over various regional business companies to hold and manage relevant intellectual property rights.The Energy Storage Technology Research Institute mainly carries out the research and development of the core technology of energy storage lithium-ion batteries and energy storage solutions, and will set up institutions such as the Energy Storage Battery Research Institute and the Power System Design Institute.Optics Valley’s workforce is expected to grow tenfold by 2024.
